Adding a nominee to your trading and demat account is not just a regulatory requirement it\u2019s a responsible step to ensure your investments are passed on smoothly to your loved ones in case of any unforeseen event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here’s a detailed step-by-step guide to help you complete your nominee registration with ease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Access the Samco Star Back Office<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To begin, visit the Samco Star Back Office portal<\/a> and log in with your Samco credentials<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:<\/em><\/strong> The credentials for the Samco Star Back Office and the Samco Mobile App are different.For Star Back Office, the password can either be your PAN number or the password you have set specifically for the Back Office.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: Verify with OTP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After entering your login details, click on Send OTP.
You\u2019ll receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on your registered mobile number or email ID.
Enter the OTP

Note:<\/em><\/strong> The OTP is valid for 10 minutes, so make sure to enter it promptly<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: Navigate to Account Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After logging in, you\u2019ll arrive at your personal dashboard  a secure area where you can manage and update your account settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now that you’re inside the portal:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Click on your profile name located in the upper right-hand corner.<\/li>
  • From the dropdown, select \u2018Account Settings\u2019.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Step 4: Choose the Modification Option<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In the Account Settings section:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Look for the  Modify Now button and click on it.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Step 5: Select  Add  Nominee <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      In the dropdown list of modification services, choose the option labeled  Add Nominee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Step 6: Fill in Nominee Details <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      In the nominee addition form, enter the following details:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Nominee Name, Relationship, and Mobile Number<\/li>
      • Email ID and Date of Birth<\/li>
      • Share of Nominee (%) \u2013 If you\u2019re adding one nominee, enter 100%<\/li>
      • Tick the box if you want the nominee name to appear on your statement<\/li>
      • Check the option if the nominee\u2019s address is the same as yours<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Next, choose the Document Type for identity verification options include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Aadhaar Card<\/li>
        • PAN Card<\/li>
        • Driving License<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          After entering all details correctly, click Submit to proceed<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Step 7: Provide Nominee Address Details<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          After submitting the nominee\u2019s personal information, you\u2019ll be prompted to fill in their address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • If the nominee\u2019s address is the same as yours, simply tick the checkbox labeled Nominee address is the same as my address. This will automatically copy your address to the nominee\u2019s section.<\/li>
          • If the nominee has a different address, you will need to manually fill in all the mandatory fields:
            • Address Line 1, 2, and 3<\/li>
            • Pincode<\/li>
            • City<\/li>
            • State<\/li>
            • Country<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              Ensure that all the information entered is accurate, as this will be used for identity and communication purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Once the address details are filled correctly, click Submit to complete the nominee registration process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Step 8: E-sign or Aadhaar Verification<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              After filling the details for your modification request, you will be redirected to begin the Aadhaar e-sign process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              • Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar Number in the designated box.<\/li>
              • Click on Submit to proceed.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                • You will be redirected to the Truecopy Credentials Pvt. Ltd. e-sign authorization page.<\/li>

                • Check the box: I hereby authorize\u2026 <\/li>
                • Enter your Aadhaar Number or Virtual ID (VID) in the field provided.<\/li>

                  Note<\/em><\/strong>: Ensure your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar to receive the OTP.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  • You will receive an OTP on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.<\/li>

                    • To check the progress, go to the  Modification Status section in the Samco Star Back Office.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
