With Samco&#8217;s <strong>StockPlus<\/strong> , you can pledge your existing shares and mutual fund holdings to generate collateral margin and use it for F&amp;O trading without needing any cash balance in your trading account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How does it work?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You pledge your shares through Samco Star Back Office. Once pledged, a haircut is applied to the market value of your shares and the remaining amount is credited as collateral margin in your trading account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, if you pledge shares worth \u20b91,00,000 and the haircut is 10%, you receive \u20b990,000 as collateral margin to trade with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is a haircut?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A haircut is a percentage deducted from the market value of your pledged shares to account for price fluctuations. The haircut percentage varies by stock and liquid large-cap stocks have lower haircuts while smaller or volatile stocks have higher ones.
