What remains after the deduction is your usable margin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Example<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rahul holds shares worth \u20b91,00,000 and pledges them under StockPlus. The haircut on that stock is 10%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Haircut deducted: \u20b910,000<\/li><li>Margin available: \u20b990,000<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The haircut varies by stock. More volatile or less liquid stocks carry a higher haircut, which means a lower usable margin against them.
