There are situations where a pledge or unpledge request will not go through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Unpledge restrictions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>If your ledger balance is in debit, you cannot unpledge shares until the balance is cleared<\/li><li>If you have an active sell order for a stock, unpledging the same stock at the same time is not allowed this prevents double unpledging<\/li><li>If the shares are currently meeting an active margin obligation, the status shows as &#8220;Utilising Collateral&#8221; and the unpledge is rejected<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pledge restrictions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Only securities on Samco&#8217;s approved pledge list can be pledged ineligible stocks cannot be used as collateral<\/li><li>Holdings already pledged under MTF or any other facility cannot be pledged again under StockPlus<\/li><li>CashPlus or MTF positions are not eligible for StockPlus margin<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If a request is rejected, Samco Star will display the reason.
