{"id":27169,"date":"2026-04-09T09:12:03","date_gmt":"2026-04-09T09:12:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.samco.in\/help-support\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=27169"},"modified":"2026-04-09T09:12:20","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T09:12:20","slug":"what-happens-if-my-order-is-partially-executed","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/www.samco.in\/help-support\/article\/what-happens-if-my-order-is-partially-executed\/","title":{"rendered":"What happens if my order is partially executed?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A partial execution happens when only a portion of your order quantity is filled at the exchange for example, you placed an order for 100 shares but only 60 were available at your price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The <strong>executed quantity<\/strong> (60 shares) will show as Executed in your Orders tab<\/li><li>The <strong>remaining quantity<\/strong> (40 shares) will stay as Pending and continue to look for a match in the market<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You have two options for the pending portion:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Wait:<\/strong> Let it remain open and it may get executed if the price is reached during the day<\/li><li><strong>Cancel:<\/strong> Go to the Orders tab, select the pending order, and cancel the remaining quantity<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>Intraday orders<\/strong>, any pending quantity still open at <strong>3:15 PM<\/strong> will be automatically cancelled by the system.
