Your portfolio shows two distinct values:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Invested Value<\/strong> This is the total amount you paid to purchase your stocks. It is a fixed number that does not change unless you buy more shares or sell existing ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Total Value (Current Market Value)<\/strong> This is what your holdings are worth right now based on the current market price of each stock. Unlike your invested value, this number changes every day and sometimes multiple times a day as stock prices move up and down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The difference between these two is your <strong>Total P&amp;L<\/strong>. If your Total Value is higher than your Invested Value, your portfolio is in profit. If it is lower, your portfolio is at a loss. This difference will keep fluctuating as long as you hold the stocks.
