{"id":27239,"date":"2026-04-09T09:45:40","date_gmt":"2026-04-09T09:45:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.samco.in\/help-support\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=27239"},"modified":"2026-04-09T09:45:53","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T09:45:53","slug":"how-do-i-place-a-delivery-or-intraday-order","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/www.samco.in\/help-support\/article\/how-do-i-place-a-delivery-or-intraday-order\/","title":{"rendered":"How do I place a Delivery or Intraday order?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The process for placing both Delivery and Intraday orders is the same, the only difference is the product type you select on the order screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is how to place an order:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Search for the stock from the Home screen or open it from your Watchlist<\/li><li>Tap on the stock to open its detail page<\/li><li>Tap the <strong>Buy<\/strong> or <strong>Sell<\/strong> button at the bottom of the screen<\/li><li>On the order placement screen, select your product type:<ul><li>Choose <strong>Delivery<\/strong> if you want to buy the stock and hold it in your Demat account<\/li><li>Choose <strong>Intraday<\/strong> if you want to trade within the same day and square off your position before market close<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Enter the quantity<\/li><li>Select your order type &#8211; <strong>Mkt, Limit, SL-M,<\/strong> or <strong>SL<\/strong><\/li><li>Enter the price if placing a Limit or SL order<\/li><li>Check the <strong>Funds Required<\/strong> and <strong>Funds Available<\/strong> shown at the bottom of the screen<\/li><li>Tap <strong>Buy<\/strong> or <strong>Sell<\/strong> to submit your order<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Your order is sent to the exchange immediately.
