{"id":27247,"date":"2026-04-09T10:51:34","date_gmt":"2026-04-09T10:51:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.samco.in\/help-support\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=27247"},"modified":"2026-04-09T10:51:55","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T10:51:55","slug":"how-do-i-sell-stocks-i-already-hold-in-my-portfolio","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/www.samco.in\/help-support\/article\/how-do-i-sell-stocks-i-already-hold-in-my-portfolio\/","title":{"rendered":"How do I sell stocks I already hold in my portfolio?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Selling stocks from your Holdings is straightforward on the Samco app. Here is how:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Tap <strong>Portfolio<\/strong> in the bottom navigation bar<\/li><li>Go to the <strong>Holdings<\/strong> tab<\/li><li>Tap on the stock you want to sell<\/li><li>Tap the <strong>Sell<\/strong> button<\/li><li>On the order placement screen, your product type will automatically be set to <strong>Delivery<\/strong> since these are holdings from your Demat account<\/li><li>Enter the quantity you want to sell<\/li><li>Select your order type &#8211; <strong>Mkt, Limit, SL-M,<\/strong> or <strong>SL<\/strong><\/li><li>Enter the price if placing a Limit order<\/li><li>Tap <strong>Sell<\/strong> to submit<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Alternatively, you can also search for the stock from the Home screen or find it on your Watchlist, open the stock detail page, and tap <strong>Sell<\/strong> from there.
