Before you begin, make sure your NAV (Net Asset Value) is 0&nbsp; meaning your account has no holdings and no fund balance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are three scenarios depending on your account status:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scenario 1 \u2014 NAV is 0 (no holdings, no balance)<\/strong> You can proceed directly with the steps below. No additional documents are needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li><strong>Log in to Star Back Office<\/strong> \u2014 Visit star.samco.in or open the Samco app, go to your Profile, and tap &#8216;Login&#8217; to access Star Back Office.<\/li><li><strong>Go to My Profile<\/strong> \u2014 Click on your profile on the top-right corner and select &#8216;My Profile&#8217;.<\/li><li><strong>Find Account Closure<\/strong> \u2014 Scroll down to the Samco Account Details section and click on &#8216;Account Closure Request&#8217;.<\/li><li><strong>Select a reason<\/strong> \u2014 Choose the reason for closing your account from the dropdown and click &#8216;Submit&#8217;.<\/li><li><strong>Verify with Aadhaar OTP<\/strong> \u2014 Enter the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number to complete the process.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Once submitted, your request will be processed and updated within 48\u201372 working hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scenario 2 \u2014 You have holdings but no fund balance<\/strong> You will be prompted to upload the CML (Client Master List) copy of the broker to which you want your shares transferred, along with your signature on a blank white sheet. Once uploaded, verify with your Aadhaar OTP and continue with the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scenario 3 \u2014 You have both holdings and a fund balance<\/strong> You will need to clear both before the closure request can be processed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>For the fund balance<\/strong> \u2014 Raise a withdrawal request first. Once the withdrawal is settled and your balance reflects 0, you can proceed.<\/li><li><strong>For holdings<\/strong> \u2014 You can either sell your holdings or transfer them to another broker.
