SmartSIP invests the same fixed installment amount too but instead of always buying units in your chosen equity fund, it decides where that money goes based on how the market is priced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When prices are fair, your instalment goes into the equity fund as usual. When prices look expensive, it skips the equity fund for that month and parks your installment in a liquid fund instead. When prices look very expensive, it also redeems a part of your existing equity holding and moves that into a liquid fund to book some profit before a possible downturn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like a regular SIP, your total investment amount over the tenure stays the same SmartSIP just times where that money goes more carefully.
