The National Stock Exchange, or NSE was established in the year 1992 and is a leading stock exchange in India. The Bombay Stock Exchange or BSE  was established in 1875 and is the oldest stock exchange in India and Asia. It was started under the name "The Native Share & Stock Brokers Association" in 1875.  Similar to NSE, BSE has its own benchmark index known as 'Sensex' short for Sensitivity Index.
