Yes. You can sell a part of your MTF position and continue holding the rest. You are not required to exit the full position at once.
How to do it
- Go to the Positions section in the Samco app
- Select the MTF stock you want to partially exit
- Place a sell order for the quantity you want to close
- The remaining shares stay in your MTF position
When you close part of the position, the margin blocked for those shares is released immediately. Interest continues to accrue only on the remaining funded amount.
