Ensure you have an active Samco demat account. If not, you will need to open one before initiating the process.
2.Obtain a Dematerialisation Request Form (DRF)
Download Dematerialisation Request Form (DRF) from Samco Website.
3.Fill the DRF
- Enter the ISIN, company name, and quantity of shares.
- Ensure the details exactly match the name printed on the physical share certificates.
- Sign the form as per your demat account records.
4.Submit Documents to Samco
Submit the following documents to Samco’s registered address:
- Duly filled and signed DRF
- Original physical share certificates
5. Verification & Processing
- Samco will verify the documents and forward them to the Registrar & Transfer Agent (RTA) of the respective company.
- The RTA will verify the certificates and approve the dematerialisation request.
Processing Timeline:
The dematerialisation process generally takes 15–30 days, depending on the company and RTA verification timelines.
Important Points:
- The name on the share certificate must match your demat account name.
- If there is a name mismatch, additional documentation may be required.
- Physical shares can no longer be sold in certificate form, they must be converted into demat before trading.
