Yes. Each order in a basket is configured independently, so you can have buy and sell orders in the same basket without any issue.
This is useful in a few situations:
- Portfolio rebalancing – exit one stock and enter another in the same execution
- F&O strategies a bull call spread involves buying one strike and selling another; both legs go into one basket
- Hedging buy a stock and add a put option in the same basket
When adding each instrument, you simply choose Buy or Sell for that order. The margin card at the top reflects the combined requirement across all positions.
