What are the different ways to transfer shares between demat accounts?

Shares can be transferred between demat accounts through two methods – Online and Offline.

Please note that Samco is registered with CDSL (Central Depository Services Limited) as the depository.

If transferring from Samco (CDSL) to a CDSL Demat Account:

Since Samco is a CDSL depository participant, if you are transferring shares from CDSL to CDSL, you can use:

  • Use the CDSL Easiest platform to transfer shares electronically.
  • This method is faster and does not require a physical DIS submission.

Offline Method

  • Submit a duly filled and signed Delivery Instruction Slip (DIS) to Samco.

If transferring from Samco (CDSL) to an NSDL Demat Account:

If you want to transfer shares from CDSL to NSDL, the transfer must be done through the:

 Offline Method Only

  • Submit a duly filled and signed DIS form to Samco.
  • Online transfer via CDSL Easiest is not available for CDSL to NSDL transfers.
