If a margin shortfall is not resolved after the alert is sent, Samco’s system will step in automatically.
What the system does:
- Your open positions may be squared off partially or fully to bring the margin back to the required level
- If squaring off positions is not enough, the pledged collateral itself may be sold to recover the balance
- Any remaining amount after recovery is adjusted in your account
