LIC Increases Stake in ACC Ltd and NBCC (India)

LIC has increased its presence in key stocks, taking its ownership in ACC Ltd above 10% and in NBCC (India) to 4.5%, with all purchases made via the open market.LIC Raises Stake in ACC Ltd

LIC acquired 37,82,029 additional shares of ACC Ltd, representing 2.014% of the company’s equity. Following this transaction, its total holding now stands at 1,98,97,064 shares, equivalent to 10.596% of ACC’s paid-up share capital.

The purchases were made gradually between 20 May 2025 and 25 November 2025. Before this acquisition, LIC held 1,61,15,035 shares, or 8.582% of the company’s equity.

LIC Increases Stake in NBCC (India)

In NBCC (India), LIC bought 30,24,672 shares, amounting to 2.071% of the voting capital. After this increase, LIC holds 12,08,91,590 shares, equivalent to 4.477% of the company’s total voting capital.

It’s important to note that the percentage holding decreased slightly despite the acquisition due to a rise in NBCC’s total voting capital base, which expanded from 180 crore shares to 270 crore shares.

All transactions were executed via market purchases, with no preferential allotment, rights issue, or off-market transfer involved. The buying window spanned from 25 April 2018 to 24 November 2025.

ACC Ltd has experienced some volatility over the past year:
