The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved an increase in the permissible equity investment limit for Power Grid Corporation of India from ₹5,000 crore per subsidiary to ₹7,500 crore per subsidiary, while maintaining the overall cap of 15 percent of the company’s net worth. The decision expands the company’s financial flexibility for investing in transmission projects, including ultra-high voltage AC (UHVAC) and high voltage direct current (HVDC) infrastructure.

Government Offer for Sale in IRFC

The Government of India has announced an Offer for Sale (OFS) in Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC), proposing to divest up to 2 percent equity stake, with a green shoe option of an additional 2 percent.
