Why are regulatory charges applied?

Regulatory charges are fees mandated by US financial authorities like the SEC, FINRA, and CAT to fund market oversight, surveillance, and investor protection activities. These are not Samco charges.

Think of it like the STT (Securities Transaction Tax) and exchange transaction charges you pay on Indian stock trades and they are standard charges applicable to all investors, regardless of which broker or platform you use. Every investor trading in US markets pays these fees automatically at the time of execution.
