Can I use AMO (After Market Orders) in the Samco app?
Yes, AMO is available on the Samco app for Equity and Futures orders. It allows you to place these orders when the market is closed, so you do not have to wait for market hours to queue your trade.
For Index Options and Stock Options, only Limit Orders can be placed through AMO. Market Orders are not supported in AMO for these segments. If you wish to place a Market Order for Index or Stock Options, it can only be placed during regular market hours.
How to place an AMO (Equity and Futures):
- Open the order placement screen for the stock or contract you want to trade
- Select your product type, quantity, and order type as usual
- Tap on Advanced Options
- Toggle on AMO
- Place your order
Your AMO will be sent to the exchange when the market opens on the next trading day. You can place AMOs anytime the market is closed. AMOs can also be modified or cancelled from the Orders tab before they are sent to the exchange.
