How do I set up the Gmail auto-reply for trade approvals?
Set this up on a desktop browser. The Gmail app cannot create templates or filters.
Step 1: Turn on Templates
- In Gmail, click Settings (gear icon), then See all settings
- Open the Advanced tab and set Templates to Enable
- Click Save Changes
Step 2: Create the reply template
- Click Compose and enter exactly: Subject: Samco SAP Authentication. Body: Dear Samco Team, I confirm my approval
- Click the three dots (⋮) in the compose window, then Templates, then Save draft as template, then Save as new template
- Name it Samco SAP and click Save
Step 3: Create the filter
- Go to Settings, then See all settings, then Filters and Blocked Addresses, then Create a new filter
- In the From field, enter sap-trades@samco.in and click Create filter
- Tick Send template, choose Samco SAP, and click Create filter
Step 4: Validate in the app
- Open the Samco SAP app, go to the Email Auto-reply step and tap Validate. It should turn green
