How do I start investing in a mutual fund – SIP or lump sum?
You can invest in a mutual fund on RankMF either as a lump sum or through an SIP, and both options are available right on the scheme page.
On the website, go to Explore, select a scheme, and choose SIP or Lump sum at the bottom of the page. On the app, tap Explore, select your scheme, and choose SIP or One-time.
If it’s your first SIP, you’ll also need to set up a mandate; this is what authorities RankMF to auto-debit your bank account on your chosen date every month. You can do this from My Investment > Mandate Registration on the website, or Setup Mandate on the app.
A lump sum works the same way, minus the mandate step you pay once, and units are allotted at that day’s NAV. Most first-time investors go with SIP since it doesn’t need a large amount upfront, but either way, your investment shows up under My Investment once it’s processed.
