When Will I Get the Margin After Pledging?
When you pledge your holdings as collateral, the margin is made available to you instantly so you can use it for trading right away without any waiting period.
Exception: Pledging Mutual Funds
If you are pledging mutual funds, the margin availability depends on the time at which the pledge request is made:
- Before 6:00 PM – Margin will be credited by the next trading day.
- After 6:00 PM – Margin will be credited on the day after tomorrow.
