What types of accounts are available at Samco?

1. Individual Account
An Individual Account is opened in the name of a single person who wishes to trade or invest in the stock market.
Key Features:
- Operated by one individual only
- Suitable for salaried individuals, professionals, and retail investors
- Can trade in equities, F&O, currency, commodities, ETFs, IPOs, etc.
- Simplest and fastest account opening process
This is the most commonly opened account type.
2. Joint Account
A Joint Demat Account can be opened with up to three holders.
Key Features:
- One person is the Primary Holder
- Others are Secondary/Joint Holders
- All holders share ownership of securities
- Operated as per depository guidelines
Ideal for family members who want to manage investments together.
3. NRI Account
An NRI Account is designed for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) who want to invest in Indian financial markets.
Types of NRI Accounts:
- NRE (Repatriable) – Funds can be transferred outside India
- NRO (Non-Repatriable) – Funds remain within India
4. Non-Individual Account
A Non-Individual Account is opened in the name of an entity rather than a single person.
