Why am I unable to place a payout request for my available funds?

If you can see an available balance but can’t place a withdrawal request, it’s likely because that balance isn’t withdrawable yet. Common reasons:

  • Unsettled funds : Shares sold today are available for withdrawal only after T+1 settlement. Wait for the next working day.
  • Open positions or margin in use :  Funds blocked for active trades or margin requirements can’t be withdrawn until positions are closed.
  • Pledged holdings : If you’ve pledged shares as collateral, those funds are locked until you unpledge them.
  • Existing request already placed : That amount gets blocked immediately. You can only request the remaining withdrawable balance.

Check your withdrawable balance in the Funds section of the Samco App before placing a request and this is the actual amount available for payout, not the ledger balance.
