Can failed transactions be reversed automatically?
Yes. In most cases, failed transactions are reversed automatically and no action is required from you.
When a deposit fails after your bank account has been debited, the payment gateway or bank initiates a reversal to the source account as part of the standard reconciliation process.
Reversal timelines:
| Failure Type | Reversal Time |
| Payment gateway / UPI timeout | 24 to 48 working hours |
| Payment gateway / UPI failure | 4 to 5 working days |
| Unlinked bank refund | 3 to 5 working days |
