Yes, you can withdraw a partial amount from your trading account. You do not need to withdraw your entire available balance in one go.
When placing a withdrawal request, simply enter the specific amount you want to withdraw and the remaining balance will stay in your trading account and can be used for trading or withdrawn later.
A few things to keep in mind:
- You can only withdraw from your clear (withdrawable) balance not your total ledger balance. The two may differ if you have open positions, unsettled funds, or margin in use.
- Funds from stock sales are available for withdrawal only after T+1 settlement. So if you sold shares today, those funds can be withdrawn from the next working day.
- You can also place multiple withdrawal requests in a day, as long as your withdrawable balance allows it. Each request blocks the amount requested, and subsequent requests can only be placed on the remaining balance.
To check your withdrawable balance before placing a request, go to the Funds section in the Samco App or Samco Star Back Office.
