When you place an order on the Samco app, you need to select a product type, Delivery (CNC), Intraday (MIS), or Overnight (NRML). If you selected Overnight (NRML) while trying to buy regular shares, your order will be rejected with this message.
Why does this happen?
Overnight (NRML) is only meant for Futures & Options trades. It cannot be used for buying or selling shares in the cash market (regular equity).
What you need to do:
Go back to your order and change the product type:
- To buy shares and hold them → select Delivery (CNC)
- To buy and sell on the same day → select Intraday (MIS)
Once you change the product type, place the order again.
