This message appears when you try to sell shares under MTF but you do not have any holdings that were bought through MTF on the Samco app.
Why does this happen?
MTF (Margin Trading Facility) is a feature that lets you buy shares using borrowed funds. Shares bought through MTF are tracked separately from your regular holdings. You can only sell MTF shares using the MTF product type, regular holdings and MTF holdings cannot be mixed.
What you need to do:
If you want to sell your regular shares, go back to the order and switch the product type to Delivery (CNC). Your regular holdings will then be available to sell. If you genuinely have MTF holdings and are still seeing this error, check the Portfolio section on the Samco app to confirm your MTF holdings are showing correctly.
