A CML (Client Master List) copy is a document issued by a broker that contains the essential details of your Demat account such as your name, DP ID, and client ID. It is also referred to as a CMR (Client Master Report).
To get your CML copy, contact your new broker directly and they will provide it to you. Make sure it has the original stamp and signature of the broker, or is a digitally signed version.
Where do I need to upload the CML copy?
When you have shares in your Samco account and want to close it, Samco needs this document to verify your new broker’s Demat account and ensure the shares are transferred to the correct place.
